This is a one-day course focusing on the fundamental ideologies for cultivating and managing confidential informants and discusses considerations and best practice when working with informants to further law enforcement investigative efforts. This course covers concepts for law enforcement officers interested in becoming investigators, as well as current investigators and supervisors of those specialized units. The course material is relevant to criminal investigations related to narcotics, gangs, violent crimes, and any other investigations where the use of informants could be beneficial to gathering intelligence or evidence. By the end of this course, participants will possess a comprehensive understanding of utilizing confidential informants, with the skills and techniques to effectively enhance their criminal investigations.
