This course will teach investigators how to complete investigations involving Snapchat, Telegram, TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, Venmo, Cash App and WhatsApp. This course will also show investigators the basics of how to use the platforms, the information needed for preservation requests and search warrants, how to submit court orders through the different law enforcement portals, and how to decipher the data received pursuant to warrants and locate evidence. This course will provide investigators with the techniques to capture information in the apps; the ability to use investigative tools like pen registers, pinging cars, and fog data; the language and lingo used to buy and sell drugs; and case studies to accompany each of the social media and financial applications.
